Ac relay electrical issue

Who likes electrical work!? Heres a doozer

My ac clutch/ac will only work with a jumper wire in placement of the a/c relay under the hood.

BRAND NEW condensor, drier, pressure switch, expansion valve, used compressor.

The switch on the dash works fine. As long as i remove the relay under hood and place a jumper wire.

Ive tried a new relay... Nothing... Jumper wire works fine.

With jumper wire in, click ac on, clutch comes on, ac gets cold, electric fan will kick on after a bit, everything seems fine.

Any help is appreciated

To my knowledge im not doing a traditional 30/87 jump,

Idk how this would mess anything up, but im doing 87/85 jumper wire.

87 is constant 12v

85 is from the switch

30 is to compressor

86 is ground

If im following correctly.. and if what ive googled is correct for my 1995 cherokee i6 4wd country
