Junkyard Tranny Cooler done...

Gil BullyKatz

NAXJA Forum User
While getting some replacement glass for the heep...

I picked up a Ford Econoline Tranny cooler for $10...

Completely bypassed the radiator cooler...

Cut the hard lines and hooked the hoses up...

I did some creative cutting behind the grill so that there's a 2" space between the tranny cooler and the AC condensor...

The grill still fits fine...

Got too dark to take pics of the grill installed...

I'll post them later with observations from the daily highway crawling...

edit: tranny cooler on pass side/steering pump cooler on driver side

Did you just slide the rubber hose right over your cut hardlines?

Thank you very much...

"Improvisation born of necessity"

The Barrio Fabworks new slogan

btw... I haven't decided on keeping the AC for next year or going with a sweet OBA like yours...

and I still have to swap the HP44 under the front and finish the forced induction stroker...

and chopping the rear...

etc etc etc...

Nice job bro!

I owe you a cold for my blatant theft of the Barrio Fabworks door latch.

Did you put any kind of flare on the hardlines at all?
