View Full Version : Picked-up a rolled 2000 XJ limited

What kinds of things should I be stripping from it? The engine runs and is already sold. I'm grabbing the power leather seats, cruise control, pw assemblies and I'd like to keep the transmission and xfer case for spares. What else should I be keeping?

Badges, Chrome grill/bezels (yeah I know everyone hates chrome but it seems like all the aussie xjs have chrome grills and I think it looks good, noted chrome anywhere else would look bad)

Gauge cluster. I sold one for 65 on ebay. Clock spring, blinker and wiper controls, dash bezel, spare tire cover, fuel pump, possibly door panels, any glass that is factory tinted, defrost, rear wiper, and fog light switches.

I wish I could find a rolled limited. There are lots of things I'd like off that.

It's a dark blue, I can't recall if all endcaps are intact but I think so. I'll check it out this weekend and let you know.

Are the door panels intact? Are they agate or are they the tan color? If agate I'll take them of your hands if you don't want them.

They definitely aren't tan. Is agate the only other colour option?

It's a limited, so power everything. Can you get a limited without power everything?

If it's a dark looking gray then it is agate. If you have them all I'll take them all if they're in decent condition. Also if you have those. Can you pull the limited badges off. Door panels are the last thing I'm looking for to complete my upgrade.

So I guess with all the requests for parts my thread got moved to the off-topic area. Too bad I was hoping to get more suggestions on what parts I should be pulling off instead of it turning into "I need this part" thread. Oh well.

Pull the door panels, Header panel, Mirrors, Prettymuch anything salvageable you can usually find a buyer on here!

Ya but it is smashed in half. Someone has already asked about getting the computer and wiring if they are still functional.
