00/01 4.0L different??

I ve got a 2000 classic with the 4.0L. On Tuesday, on my way to work, it siezed. Ive spent the past week looking for a new 4.0L, however im told that the 00/01 XJ engines are unique. What is different about these engines? What would need to be changed from say a 97-99 4.0L?

The short answer is yes, the 00-01 are different. They have coil on spark plug ignition with no distributor and a different head and exhaust manifold. You can install a 1999 or older block if you swap over some of the 00/01 parts.
