So I have a 1991 sport 4.0 5sp manual. 227k and still going strong. (new engine in 2000..) I removed the carpet kit a year ago due to a water leak (fixed) and want to leave it out for good. The plastic shifter base however has both screw "holder" spots broken and it rattles around. actually even before they were broken it just doesnt fit good with the carpets out. does anyone know of any aftermarket or custom shifter bases out there? Nothin fancy just something good and solid (cool a +) that would sit flush to metal chassis. of course its gotta have the slot for the 4wd too. thanks for any info..cheers- - TJ
