What gear lube weight do I put in my XJ? It's got a Dana 30 front, and a Dana 44 rear, both have ARB lockers. I'll be using Amsoil.

Don't know about amsoil but I run 75/90 Mobil-1 and at 180,000mi it has been good to me. I don't know if the ARB's make any difference in the grade oil, you might want to look for a 140W.

I run 75/90 in the rear of mine with an ARB. Same in the front with a open diff (not for long). Juice

WHat you're probably using is the synth mix or whatever they call that as valvoline doesn't put out a full synth at that weight (That I could find anywhere!)

I've dumped a few quarts of 75/90 series 2000 amsoil synth in both pumpkins in my XJ. No complaints!

Make sure it's rated GL-5. The 5 has about twice the EP additives as the GL-4's; and gives much better protection.
