Inspired by a writeup on the ExPo forums of a long West to East trip through southern utah, I opened my big mouth and said why not make it border to border? Now I'm going to be leading just such and expedition this fall! Anyway there is room for a couple more rigs.

This will be an informal expedition type run from west to east meeting up in or near Nevada somewhere N.E. of St George on the Night of the 4th and ending 9-10 days later in Colorado. Expect as much dirt road as possible between Nevada and Colorado borders keeping to the south most parts of the state.
Your vehicle should be set up for self sufficiant travel and be in tip top shape Have recovery gear, tools and spare parts, and hold all your camping equipment and supplies. Remote primitive camping should be anticipated every night except perhaps the first night.
Extra fuel carrying probably a must for one or two stretches (there are always opt outs and workarounds though)

Post up if anyone is interested!

That's awefully tempting, Jared. Are you planning on having the MJ finished by then?

What size tires and traction aids would you consider to be the minimum? Any idea what trails/roads you'll be using yet?

Or... I could just mooch a ride off Derek. It worked for the Rubicon. :D

If work picks up between now and then, I might be up for this.

Well as you probably already heard I'm in Jared! Let me know if I can help out in anyway getting this thing together.

Got a pretty cool route outlined, a few details to work out. Nothing too technical on purpose, certain weather could make things nearly impassable on the other hand. Working 4wd at a minimum :D The MJ wouldn't be outfitted by then even if the drivetrain was done in time.

Let me know if it works out.
