Awesome. I used to have an '84, but I always wanted a late 70s model.

I've alway thought the '70's Ford shortbeds were some of the coolest trucks ever built. That one looks supernice. Good score!

Looks good! My old man has a 78 F100 Custom that he bought brand new. It gets used now to haul big stuff around on occasion, but spends most of its time sitting in the driveway. It was his DD when I was a kid...lots of memories in that truck.

It has A/C, cruise, pw and PDL its got the 400 in it but its been sitting for a couple years due to an engine fire. He has been tossing around the idea of putting a Cummins 12 valve in it and building a custom bed with integrated log splitter(wood hauling truck).

Nice! My dad's is sorta the base model...straight drive in the column, manual windows and locks, straight six, 2wd, no cruise..etc etc. Not sure off hand if it has AC on it

Yeah his neighbor worked at Ford for 30 years or so and he Ordered it new with all those options. MY dad got it for like 2 grand with 90k miles and a Straight body. the only rust it has is the rear inner fenders. Its been sitting indoors for 3 years now and he's itching to get it fixed. Its been put on hold for a while but now that my step mom has passed away he is needing something to keep his mind off of all that!

Good point. The old guys need something to keep their minds and hands busy after a loss like that! Helps them from having issues

He has handled it fairly well. He has a great group of friends and every family member is a phone call away. I'd like to see him get that truck going.
