Here is what is has / whats wrong with it
4.5" rough country (:gee:) lift
4.0/auto with 137,000
8.25 rear
smashed fender/missing flare
beat 31x10.5x15 bfg a/t's
needs a u-joint bad
no front sway bar, bad hub assemblys, needs oil change and rad fluid stat, possibly a radiator or therm

Heres what its gonna get
-front sway bar with disco's
-flare mounted
-tune up/hubs/other misc work
-33 m/t's or swampers, maybe a/t's if i get a good deal
-rear sway bar removed
-homemade roof rack, bumper, and a winch
-upper control arms
-cb and hella lights
-rear end will be welded and im gonna run that untill i find a d44 or 8.8

thats about it, will try and update whenever work gets done

If you'll only be running 33's, why ditch the 8.25? Unnecessary expense, time and labor to do the axle swap when the chryco will hold up to 33's just fine. Just curious.

so i got a bunch of work done today after my docs appointment, i would like to have it done and on the road by 4th of july (big wheelin party at a local place if any south jersey guys wanna come, let me know the place is awesome)

anyways, got the fender flare on, makes that dent look way smaller
oil changed
rad fluid flushed
truck cleaned out
back up build put in
new wipers, filled all the fluids too

the truck is sounding much better with the oil and rad changed, has anyone swapped out there muffler for an aftermarket one on a newer xj like mine? i have a dynoflow or dynomax i 4get laying around in my garage, figured it might help it breath

I used a semi truck mirror clamp mount and stuck mine onto the rear roof rack crossbar, then ran two wires from the clamp out to (and as far up as I could feed) the rack rails, to provide a better ground plane. My antenna line comes out under the LH tail light.

Seems to work fine for me.

my welder isnt very good and i dont trust it (or myself) for makeing the bumper/mount, does anyone make just a center section of a bumper, with the mount brackets and winch spot? i can fab the corners up myself or just even leave them off

i went out to get prices on hub assemblys, and im a bit confused

auto zone had 2 different ones, valucraft for 100 and timken for 150
they did not ask for a rotor differance

pepboys and napa both asked if i had composite or cast rotors, how can i tell? does it matter?

thanks, Matt

For the CB antenna mount, Quadratec makes a hood mount that will run opposite of the stock radio antenna. You would also remove the stock radio antenna and put it there, but you will lose FM radio.

went to a junk yard for lebarron hood vents, only 1 lebarron had them, and someone already too them :wierd:

just need to install the bearings, put in the front sway bar, take out the rear sway bar, and put in a u-joint and she will be ready for the road, will post some pics tomorrow

hey guys, i could use some help here

truck had a check engine light come one

two codes, p1687 and p1494

from what i found out one is evac or gas cap or something, the other has something to do with dash or electrical, i cant find much info on either

the dash usually works when your start the truck, sometimes no guages will move and when you get to like 10-15 mph it will start working

the truck seems to run pretty good though
