Tranny overheating?

Hey, so it is turning summer here and i started to notice my tranny tunnel and floor behind the front seats ( carpet out with rhino liner ) becomes very hot.... hot enough to make passengers uncomfertable ( hot feet )when i drive enough to get the tranny up to temp with the engine. It is most noticable when on the highway. What would cause this? Is it because the carpet is missing? Thanks

AW4 tends to run hot, you may not have noticed as much with carpet on the floor. Another good reason for tranny cooler, still going to be hot on the floor though. Could also be the CAT.

check the fluid to see the color. if its still red its still good. but if its brown it needs to be changed. does it have a tranny cooler? if not, its always good to have one.

I do not have a tranny cooler, what would you recommend?
