Hey guys , I am new here on NAXJA. I just got my first vehicle yesterday, a navy blue 1996 Cherokee Sport. It is in flawless condition. Has alot of miles on it, but it will be a perfect. I picked it up for $1500. It is getting axle seals tomorrow then I can pick it up. I am so stoked, and have alot of plans for it...once I get to know more about XJ's, and automobiles in General. I am a bit more familiar with the two wheeled machines :lecture:. Anyways, I will have pictures up when I pick it up.

220K. The owner was a mechanic for dodge, and I was very skeptical about the mileage, but my dad drove it, and he said the clutch and everthing feels great, the engine looks great, no weird noises, everything works, and there is almost no rust. I think I am going to be needing an exhaust manifold though, I hear thats a common thing on XJ's

Haha I am 100% okay with that. I have a few sicknesses already.:looney: I am more than willing to take another under my wing

Welcome aboard and congratulations on the new ride.

220K? Sounds like it's nicely broken in now.

Since you're in PA, have you considered coming to NACFest next week?

Welcome to NAXJA man! You'll find a lot of useful info on here and I suggest getting used to the search feature to save you the SEARCH FIRST flaming. Trust your Jeep and It will take you to places you never thought possible. I suggest getting some armor and recovery points and a decent set of tires and learn to drive it like that and it will make you a better driver.

Not really sure what it is lol  if it involves driving, I cannot. I do not have my license yet. I broke my femur in december and it pushed me back like 4 months. I am going for it this month though. I am so pumped.

Haha I hear ya, I am very familiar with forums. Nobody likes to hear the same question over and over. And thanks for the advice!

NACFest is the North Atlantic Chapter's annual wheeling event at Rausch Creek Off-Road Park in Joliet/Pine Grove, PA. Groups of us get together from time to time though, so don't think you're stuck until next year to wheel.

Good luck with the license.

Yo code!

Haha yeah I have been snooping around all day pretty much. Getting to know all the terminology and all that. Like I said, this is muuuchhhh different than the old MX Bike haha. But yeah, If I get my tow hooks by then, and maybe some new (bigger) shoes on the XJ i'll tag along. Sounds like a good time. Im just trying to get this thing all paid off so I can start with the goodies :looney:

nice eyes cheif!

dont worry about the tires yet, you are gonna inherit mine here in a month or two. but those tow hooks need done asap man or a bumper with some backing plates if you want a new one eventually. start poking around in the north atlantic chapter and look around in the classifieds for some, even if you get just one hook or a reciever hitch for a dirt bike carrier!!!

My dad will most likely let me get both while still in debt as long as I pay off my 100$ payments. He mad a whole system and everything hahah with like payment cards and whatnot. But yeah, I will definitely be purchasing those tow hooks along with your tires most likely. Lol:cheers:
