Had a great time Guys & Gals!

Thanks to all those who came!

To honorable mentions XcastleXJ who brought the table that ended up being very valuable. To all those that did bring food but never got finished up or opened up. Your contribution was needed, you never know how much you actually need, if you don't bring it people will be still hungry and it seems vice versa! :looney:

Special honor goes to Goodburbon for driving the most miles to meet up. Three hours to meets us at the Phillips 66 then another hour to get to the trail head, Glad you could make it!

My pics and (1) video is uploading as I type this.

To Time2getdirty, Aussie, & Old_Man................where the frack did you guys go?! Hopefully you guys got home safe? We all left the camp area and took a right and lined up and waited for you guys as we assumed you took a left to go back wards as Jim got turned around but got back in the group, but you guys we could not get on the sqwack box and waited for 10-15 minutes. Finally we just headed down the hill.

Had a great time and met some nice people.
We teamed up and simply backtracked. I had my radio on all the time and heard no one.

Here is the only video I got of the run. (Not a lot video worthy areas but the first part and the hill, didn't get the hill :( .)

(funny part this ford hauling a tank came up behind us and got a little bent out of shape that he had to get around us, you will see it in the video and also Jim & Hugo chickening out over the little rocks! :D)

No one knew which direction you guys went off to and we heard Time2getdirty briefly but could not two way with him, you guys must been just out of range. I kept trying and waited a little as we were just wondering and I hate losing people in the group with "ifs & maybes".

Again great time guys!

Lol. I took a right out of the bbq spot because I knew it would lead be to the trail head faster... I think Time2getdirty went the way I did because he knew about the really awesome overlook and Old Man told me someone was looking for it. Its like a wooden bridge thing that goes around a big boulder.

So anyways I was fine... I had ridden the trail before so I knew where to go. I will post my pis here in a few.

exactly. How would you describe that lol? Yeah I went that route... I have pics of that spot from the last time I was there but none this time. To me Pole Hill is very confusing to know exactly where you are on the map but its easy to find your way back...

That is the way we went but I did not realize you guys had already taken off and went that way. Jim went the other way and had to turn around. We waited a little bit to make sure we had everybody but no one told the rest of us you guys were shooting down the hill so fast. :shhh:

It was good although Steers had no clue either....................:jester:

It was all good in the end, the trail and run, it was not so much a major wheeling event but more of a family run. Even my 7 month along wife found the run enjoyable................met a lot of new faces, so it was good:exclamati

Sorry we left you all behind, we had our hands full trying to keep up with old man:scared:..... We did stop at the trail head for about 10 minutes waiting for you all, but then figured you guys went to wheel some more...We had a great time meeting everyone and can't wait to get out and do it again.

Good news:
no fender/tire rubbing
no breakage
made it home in time for the daughters dance recital
had a great time
meet some really nice people

Hope to see you on the trail soon.
ps.will have my pics and videos up around monday.....

Speaking of running those 33 x 10.50's, what amount of lift you running in the front, was that 3" coils with ACOS for 4.5 or 5" of lift?

time2getdirty
May 30th, 2009, 21:12
yes old Rusty's 3 inch with acos at the lowest setting and in rear very saggy 3 inch aal with stock leafs with 2" shackles. I think I'm on the verge of replacing soon. Anyone recommend a good 3.5/4 inch leaf/coil settup?

We've got some good shots. I'm tried uploading them when we got home but the internet wasn't cooperating. As for the drive... Guys, that's how far it is to do any wheeling in a location larger than 10 acres where I'm from but with the added benefit of scenery here. I was happy to meet all of those new faces and putting faces to the screennames I have been conversing with over the last few years.

Katy can't wait to hit the next trip, but I think she wants something just a bit more challenging.

Keep an eye on here for July 27. Skully and me are about to set up a trip, right now it is looking like Middle St.Vrain and Coney Flats.

It was nice meeting the 2 of you as well, looked like my wife was enjoying talking to Katy, and the kids loved your dogs.

Finally got some time to load up the pic's. Not the greatest but the wife and I got tired of getting in and out of the heep and running up and down the mountain. I missed taking pic's of the 2 big highlights of the day: 1) Rocken getting Hope's XJ stuck and having to take a strap, and 2) the pair of Bimbo's in the new Rubicon that crashed through the big pine tree and made their own trail through the field to get around us.

All of my photos are here: http://s323.photobucket.com/albums/nn455/Hugothegrunt/Pole%20Hill/?

Well as usual guys had a great time. Trail was just about right for a nice family type run with a great lunch. Thanks to all that brought food and grills. There were some funny times such as castle turning on his turn signal everytime we went around a curve. And them some:gonnablow times such as the truck passing us because he was in such a hurry and that stupid lady blasting through the tree to get around Skully and then driving off the trail to get around us. Man I wish I had the money to run through a tree and then totally break the rules of the road. She probably didnt even know how to activate the lockers on the Rubi or even how to use the winch!

I have it down as June 27th?

Yes confirm will post a thread on it mid month, MSV/COney Flats on the 27th!

I want to run Spring Creek Again here in the next two weekends so I can consider it done...........

Then of course Red Elephant/Mill Creek/ Bill Moore for the year and then after July try to get Grizzly Lake and Wheeler Lake out of the way.

Figures!

Back on track to the thread;

One thing I found frustrating on this trip with all the attendees is the communication or lack there of.......all you CB missing wankers need to get one! :D

I think the only ones with CB's was myself, GoodBurbon, Old_Man, Time2GetDirty, JimGrms, & Castle! Less than 50% of the group............. :twak:

Yeah Jenn was kinda frustrated when we kept stopping and was unaware why. So she said for my birthday present she is getting me a CB.:kissyou:

June 27th. My Bad. Thanks for catching that XJBoy.

Ok good. Jenn will be in Utah that weekend for a dance competition with her mom. Her little brother( cant really say little since he is 14 and over 6 foot) will be with me that weekend so we will join that run. I may also get my grandfather in on this run if we can do a little work on his CJ-7.
