I heard of an area going in south of KC, but have heard nothing else since the early summer.

In addition to the Bison Ranch, there are ac ouple of other privately owned areas to off-road.

The local clubs are also working with the Mark Twain National Forest Districts to open up more trails in those areas. We are using GPS' to track the trails and turning the info over to the district offices to add to the inventory.

This is a work in progress, so most of the national forest here has very limited access.

When you get here join one of the local clubs:

Midwest Jepthing or Mid-rivers Jeepthing and join the funn here.

Lawn Cher,

Check out the Southern Illinois Jeep Club: www.sija.org

They're a new club and most of them live in the St. Louis area.

Wow! Great stuff! I look forward to meeting you all. I'll report in when things get settled down, but in the meantime I will be at Moab so maybe we can discuss around a campfire, no?

I am in Milwaukee, and have often wondered about the lack of a Midwest chapter.
Let me know any further thoughts.
