ive got one i let go of for 20 buck it dosnt have an antenna tho

i dunno in phoenix but at the triple t truck stop here in tucson i got a 3 foot fiberglass one for 30 bucks came with a 9 foot cord for the antenna.

will a cheap cobra cb ($40 new) with a little 2 foot antenna work good enough for communication out wheeling?

i would think so cause its just between the vehicles. which arent very far apart. i might be using one for my jeep.

yup, the cheapies are just fine for trail communication. I have a 29.99 on sale wal-mart special and it is just fine. But then again, I am running HAM radio now so I only use the CB when I HAVE to.

awesome. Found someone on CL who will sell their cobra to me for $20 with antenna.

I need to get a HAM license again... best form of communication in the middle of nowhere.
