has about 198xxx miles on it everything works, aux fan on a switch, 4.0,aw4,np242,Chrysler 8.25 WITH ABS, d30 vac disco in front. brand new P235/75/R15 all terrains. engine will never die, just recently passed smog with flying colors. reg paid last week. For some reason idk why, it wont engage reverse unless your in 4lo. probably easy fix but im sick and tired of working on it. Haven't really gone on a real wheeling trip except calico awhile back, even then could do squat because no lift. hasn't been abused by me, just never washed it. I havent done this jeep thing for long but im already tired of the crap i have to go through just to ask for help. so im selling it and going back to muscle cars. 1550obo. pics upon request.

ya about 3 months ago. had the turbine sensor replaced and had the tranny flushed while done.

If it has no reverse, it's done. My brother bought one a few years ago that had no reverse. When I took it apart to rebuild it, is was cheaper to find a used one. Honestly you could probably find one for less than 200 bucks. You will need a 21 spline output from 1987-1990. Most Aw4's never really have a problem. I recently broke the pump in mine, and that was a cheap fix. Just find a used one, and it will probably last a long time.

Cruise junkyards, they usually mark on the windshield if it's a good tranny/engine and even the one up here has a warranty on parts if he says they're good. I haven't met you yet, so don't take this as me calling you anything, but I've had nothing but good luck since finding this place. ya i found an 87 up about an hour north of fresno but a little far. this weekend im going to pap and its half off weekend so i will see what i can pull. rumors going around they got a couple MJ's in there as well.

I have a transmission you can have out of a 1990, but you are kinda far away. If you know of anyone coming this way (unlikely but possible) then they can pick it up and take it to you. Not that it really matters, but it comes with a NP231 with a stretched chain. $90 bucks on a new chain and you are good to go.

if it has the 8.25 rear axle its not a 90 unless its been swapped. the 8.25 wasnt available until 91, and never with ABS. if it has ABS its the D35, which means it could still be a 90. haha confused yet?

it was a special order from customs. Classified as a 90 by DMV, built in March of 91 though. It has a 8.25 and im looking at it and im telling you it has ABS. and i know as a fact this is an original 27 spline 8.25 from the factory.

I just read this entire thread and not too happy about what i read. I would say that I will be there next week to pick up the trans but I don't work that way. It was karmad to me and I gave it to firefly being he was in dyre need.

So you are wanting things for free to make a profit...Besides when I bought my 89 it was in WAY better shape than yours except the paint with the same axles and acessories. I paid 1300 and the trans was installed.
