What size lights are you going to run? As far down the windshield as possible is advisable to reduce glare.

I really dig using linear actuators on light bars. I would like to do either linear actuators on my light bar or use a door switch hooked to a door lock atuator then have it raise with hood, shell style hydrualic struts. That way you can keep it down when you need to but have it come up when you want light.

Just to help explain myself better linear actuators are devices that can move things in a line with electricity.
Door lock actuators are just that... The thing that locks and unlocks your door.
Hydraulic struts are the things that raise your liftgate.

lights that rise up and down sounds flashy, how do the 1700 jeepspeed guys have removable lights.

Most of them build a bar off their cage, to either heims or bushings so they can take them off when they want. But there is still a bar sticking up in the air.
