rotor help!?

i just put new pads on my 99 xj and now they squeek something terrible. i need to put new rotors on it and i was wondering if they just come right off or do you have to take off the bearing and everything? my friend said on his older cherokee that he had to take out the bearing and everything. thanks guys!

They should just come right off once you have the wheel and caliper removed

If 4wd, the rotor comes off the hub. If 2wd, the rotor and hub are integrated and you'll need to remove the outer wheel bearing.

Although you may need to do quite a bit of pounding with a BFH

its 4wd so i just have to get the rotor off? god thats good news. thanks a lot guys.

Did you rough up the rotor good with coarse sandpaper? If you're trying to fix the squeel, you might not need new rotors.

The anti-squeal stuff works pretty well too.
