I have been kicking around a few different ideas on how to mount by cb antenna. I was first gonna go with something like one of these:

I decided to go my own route. I'm sure there have been a few people who have mounted their antennas like this, but none that I have seen. I have seen a few people mount them directly to the bumper, but then they cant open their hatch. I didn't like that idea.
I first removed my bumper end cap to see how much room i had inside the cap. I took a measurement and used some 3/6" scrap steel I had laying around. I cut it to about 6" long so it will stick out just before it hits to the inside of the bumper end cap. I drilled a hole in my bumper, and bolted it in place.
Then I slid the bumper cap back in place and mocked up my antenna. Like mentioned earlier, I wanted to be able to open my hatch without the antenna interfering. I found the spot, and drilled just over a 1/2" hole in my bumper end cap. Took a sharpie, and marked the hole on my bracket. Drilled a hole where I marked it and put in my antenna stud mount.
I then ran the antenna through an opening behind the taillight. I bolted the bumper end cap back in place and screwed my 4' firestik antenna in place.
It came out pretty clean, and its pretty sturdy. Hope this will helps if your deciding where to put your antenna.
