Anyone up for a mid June Middle Ocoee run and dinner? Rates are $43 per person and they have a trip leaving 12:30p and I think it would be a blast to get out and enjoy the rapids with some of ya'll. If we can get enough people to commit we might be able to qualify for group rates (Must be 12 or older).
For more info, this is the site and company I was referred too.

Consider me and my wife as probable for this one, depending on National Guard duty and monetary funds.:us:

TTT. Need to get a head count to see what kind of group rates we can get. I would like to have a pretty firm number by next Sun.

I'm thinking I'll wait till there is a little more interest and if I plan to make he crawl I need to save a little money.

For those interested in rafting the Ocoee go to 1029thebuzz.com they have a deal on there for a 2 for 1 rafting package. That way y'all could cut cost even if you didn't have a group discount. I also doubt that discount would be 50 percent.

If this falls through, cave tours are nice during the summer months.

...i was looking forward to the rafting; but an extra saturday to prepare, and extra cash for the crawl might be the better thing to do.

Hello and welcome to Bigalpha's Cave tours....to your left is an old rock....to your right is another old rock....if we turn off all the lights it's really dark...move along let's all stay together...

Maybe, if you're nice, I won't feed you to the cave monster that lives in the river.

If it lives in the river wouldn't it be the river monster?

You weren't one of those kids with the maglights who lead people around the Lost Sea, were you?

Neg. I worked at Dunbar Cave.
I went to Lost River Cave recently. They no longer use maglights. They have those big spotlights now.

Never been to Lost River.
Just checked out their site and it looks pretty cool. My kid loves caves like that.

The cave tour is really short. It only lasts like 15-20 minutes and you dont go very far into the cave. If you go, be there when they open so there are fewer people.
Dunbar Cave is a longer tour, but of course there are no boats. Plus, it's much cheaper. If we wanted to get a group together, I can see if we can make it a NAXJA only group. I know the guy still working there.
