99 PDL Quit

The power door locks on my 99 have been working fine for years. However, yesterday morning they just died. I hit the lock button on my remote and the horn sounded, but the locks did nothing. I then tried the switch on the driver's door control panel. Nothing. Same with the passenger door switch. The only thing that happens is a faint click from the front, passenger door switch panel. It's obviously not the fuse, but is there a relay somewhere? I replaced the driver's door PDL actuator last year. Any thoughts?

Thanks!
Dave

check the wiring in the door jamb for damage and if the wires are good, take the door panel off and test the switches/curcuit.

Well, they've mysteriously healed themselves. I tried locking the doors with the engine running and they worked. Turned the engine off, remove the key and tried it and they worked again. I think, perhaps, the interlock that won't allow you to lock the doors with the key in the ignition (but the engine off) was stuck. I'm not really sure of the mechanism that makes this work, but I think I'll spray some graphite into the ignition lock cylinder just to be sure.
