AW4 Installation Issue

I am stuck trying to install a junk-yard AW4 in my 89, 4.0, 4x4. I measured the installation of the torque converter so I know it is in all the way. I cannot turn the towque converter or the input shaft at all. The trans is in Neutral. I can turn the output shaft in one direction. Any thoughts?

Turns out some of the tabs on the clutch plates in the overdrive planetary gear assembly are bent and had it all locked up. So much for my junk yard success. Fawk.
