steering replacement???

im pretty sure i need a steering overall my steering is very loose

how do i know what components need repacing? i know there is theball joints in the steering knuckle, out tie rod ends and the tie rod ends on the drag link

is there anything else i need to be changing or looking at?

Put your front axle on jacks and give everything a good shake.
Look at:
Drag link from the steering box to the rt tire.
Tie rod from the drag link over to the Lft tire.
Track bar rt side axle up to the frame by the steering box.
There should be no play in any of the joints on these components, seen or felt.
Ball joints upper and lower both sides.
Unit bearings: These are the fr. wheel bearing units. if you can shake the tire up and down, but the outer knuckle isn't moving, it's the unit bearing going bad.

Also have someone turn the steering wheel side to side and look/feel for play in the steering box and the joints on the steering column . A little play in the box is normal/ok, the joints on the column shaft should be tight.
