Anyone going to the Fall for All at Grayrock? It's just north of Birmingham. CAOS is sponsoring, and will be held October 20-21-22. I'm working all 3 days, wheeling when ever. I toying with the idea of camping out Sat night with my 3 year old...if the weather is good, he's in a good mood, and the stars are all lined up! My inlaws are about 45 min away, so I've got a failsafe!:D
So who's going???

What day are you rolling in? I'll likely be the dude taking your money if you haven't preregistered. I'm working the gate Friday Noon on, and Saturday starting at 7am...if I can get there that early! Last year the entrance was jammed up most of Saturday morning.

We'll be rolling into town on thursday night, so we'll be there Friday morning/noon or whenever the earliest we can get in is.

Well, I'm not supposed to be there before noon, so I'd say come on over there abouts. I think things were pretty light on Friday last year. I'll be wearing a red tshirt......:D

The roads to it are find, normal, twisty, two lane black top, probably less than 5 miles from the interstate. Once you get to the entrance....it graded gravel, and a fair grade. Last year, Sat morning I believe they had a bunch of people get stuck with 2wd tow vehicles, and large trailers:D My suggestion, would be to get there Friday, and you'll likely have no issues. The flow is much slower on Friday. The problem with Sat was everyone having to stop, going up the grade.

I didn't see anything about tag and Insurance in the rules
on the Grayrock home page.
I did see that you must have a drivers license
and wear seatbelts at all times,

I've posted up in our Club forum for confirmation of this. I'll let you guys know as soon as I do! My truck is a DD...so it's tagged/insured. I don't know about strick trail rigs. We'll find out!

I hope my dealer tag (which will insure my buggy) flies with this ride. It would suck to drive 7 hours to be turned away. I have lights etc., but damn after reading through that flyer I guess they don't want any buggies there.
I'm still waiting for official word for you guys. I don't want to pass on incorrect info. But last year there were a ton of buggies. Not sure what the flyer said last year. That flyer is "this" event's requirements, not necessarily "Grayrock" requirements. I'll post up as soon as I get confirmation.

Bring it On:D :D :D
This is quoted from the reply I got from "Mama CAOS"
This is one of the park rules but it does not get enforced. We just tell everybody, "that as long as your tow rig is tagged and insured they will be fine."
That is from Jonica. She's basically running the WHOLE show. Her words are law around here:scared: ....so, It's safe to bring your toys!
See Ya There!

Tony Cousins, which he is the one that owns Gray Rock. Is my old boss from way back when. If I can finish my rig by friday night I will be there sat. Anyone willing to let me follow. My rig has not be on a trail yet. It is built, exo caged and should survive. But other than driving it through ditches and around fields here at the house I don't know what to expect. It is gray with a bright green exo cage. By the way my name is Josh.

The gate was busy today. I worked 12-7, and apparently we've got twice the number of registrants we had last year on Friday. I'd expect a long line to get in on Sat morning....get there early if you're still coming!

I will be there. I have it loaded up and ready. I wish I would have got my axle limit straps on, but I will just have to watch out. I just want to see how it will do. Maybe hit a few hard things towards the end.
What time does the gates open?

We had a great time at Grayrock. Jeep did very well. However I thought I got out of there with out breaking anything. At a closer look my trac bar has a nice bend in it. It made it through the canyon, tub rock, snot hill, spring twister and many more. I can't wait till next weekend at Summertown, TN.

Hey Josh,
It was great to meet you. Glad to hear you had fun. My wife and son finally showed up around 1pm, we didn't hit the trail til 2 with a some guys from 4x4Rockshops- 2 Rubicon's, one on 35's, and a CJ that looked well built, and locked. We also went through the Canyon, 160 loop, Trail "A", and Crooked Creek? We had fun. I did quite a bit of scraping on my way through the Canyon. I needed a strap 2 or 3 times, but we had fun. I was missing an inch or two in a couple spots, and a rear locker would have gotten me through atleast one or two of those "strap me" spots! Thank god the weather was nice on Sat. We froze on Friday. Did you stay for the Rock Crawling Comp on Sunday? I couldn't make it back up there.

We got done running around 7:00. Watched a few come up the hill behind the rodeo arena. The weather was great, Sorry I did not make it back up there at 2:00 we was some where on the other side of the property. Bowl hole was fun cause all the stockers was trying it with no luck me and some others crawled right up it. All in all it was great. Stay in touch , I will be taking it out again this next weekend.

My buddy and I both ran the comp/rockrace..holy shizzle! It was like rolling up to lower 2 at Tellico and someone saying "go". Within the first 10 feet of the course all four of my tires were a couple of feet in the air and the motor was banging off the rev. limiter, an absolute blast! Cable hill and tub rock were quite fun too. That place is awesome and we'll definately be back, the Caos club put on a great event, thanks.

I agree, the place (Rocks)and yes tub rock was cool as hell.
The canyon was pretty cool also.
Wished I hadn't missed the comp but I had to
be home sunday evening.
Thanks to CAOS for the weekend.

Thanks guys! I'll pass on the message to the CAOS Club members. The club really does put in alot of work for that event. I won't take much credit, but there are alot of people really working hard to make that come off fairly cleanly. Now, chances are, I did take your money! I was the dude at the end of the counter collecting the coinage! So, if I didn't say Hi....Hi! and thanks for your patronage:D I worked Friday 12-7, and Sat 7-1. We did have a pretty good crowd, though I don't know what the finally count was. We had 200 vehicles registered on Friday alone! I worked the Comp last year, however, my wife was not feeling so well, so, we took the 3 year old, and the 10 month old home on Sunday. Hopefully I'll get a chance to meet you guys on one of the NAXJA rides...I haven't made it to Tellico yet....;)

"Big Egg?" That was #2 on the trail list. It's over near "Buzzard Roost", and "Bents and Dents"
Yo, looks like you guys had way too much fun! You've got more hp, foot, and tires than my budget would tolerate!;)
