This is a an OEM XJ rear driveshaft with a CV joint installed at the slip yoke end by a professional driveline shop and ordered for 4 Wheel Parts which is who I got it from. It is in excellent condition with new Spicer 1310 U Joints. This shaft will work in place of a slip yoke/ hack n tap for vehicles lifted 3"-7" and will allow you to simply install shims to correct pinion angle on go. Save yourself the cost of a hack n tap or SYE like I did and simply install this shaft, shim and go.
$75

The reason I am selling is due to the fact that I had some driveline vibes and thought that I needed to just go ahead and install a hack n tap. However, upon installing the H&T, I realized the vibes were not related to the shaft. So with that being said, this shaft is a substitute for a SYE or H&T. I wish I could have saved myself the $400 for the H&T and custom driveshaft.

so if i get a 6.5" lift for my 97 jeep cherokee i wont have to spend $250 on a SYE or a H&T

I have 7.5" of lift on mine and ran this shaft for over a year with NOT A SINGLE problem.

Sure, here you go. From my phone, sorry. I ran this on 7.5" of lift and I also have shackle relocation brackets so the rear of my XJ flex's VERY well. At full flex, this shaft still has 3" of spline contact. Again, it was done for 4 Wheel Parts by a driveline shop.

so with this i do not have to purchase a SYE or a H&T with my lift
Achmed

That is correct. I ran it with 7.5" of lift for 1 year with NO SYE and my Cherokee literally drives like a Cadillac. The folks here who have ridden in it will agree.

If you want it, I will do $90 shipped to a Memphis business or $95 shipped to a Memphis residence.

I'm not bashing your DS, but I don't see what's different from a front drive shaft...I'm not very drive shaft literate.
Please explain.

the one he is selling has the "slip" on the yoke/transfercase; whereas a front driveshaft has the "slip" in the shaft, with fixed yokes...

....but I thought the rear shaft had a slip on the transfer case anyhow..... I don't know, I'll take your word for it.
Sure beats buying a H&T though.

what if you bolt up a shortened front driveshaft to that slip yoke piece? so you have 2 slip points?!?
hm......

Achmed, thanks for the info and your time, but I think my dad wants to go through the transfer case and while doing that go ahead and install the SYE/new d-shaft.

Achmed, Thanks for the quick response and refund. I was bummed when I found out some one else got it.
