installing factory AMP

Can anyone give some info on wiring the factory infinity amp into a stock (97) XJ harness. There is no plug there under the seat. Am I naive to think it will simply be matching wires and soldering?

I already have 2 amps in the back for rear and bass, that and a cd changer is taken enough room. :guitar:Just want something small and easy for the front.

Be kind audiophiles...please.

Personally, I would not run the infinity but instead replace the amp you use for your rear speakers with a 4 channel. You would probably get a harness for an XJ with infinity sound to run the infinity anyways. There are also a lot of better amps now-a-days since the technology has gotten way better.
 
Thanks Aaron, but this project is for under 50$. Have already 'Emptied Every Pocket' a few times over. Besides the wife doesn't know about needing new shocks

Ok it goes like this. There are 2 connectors. one has 10 pins, the other has 14. The one with 10 pins is

1 - x55 18BR/RD - left door speaker (-)
2 - x56 18DB/RD - right door speaker (-)
3 - x58 18DB/OR - right sound bar speaker (-)
4 - x60 18DG/RD - power amp relay feed
5 - x53 18DG - left door speaker (+)
6 - x54 18VT - right door speaker (+)
7 - x51 18BR/YL - left sound bar speaker (+)
8 - x57 18BR/LB - left sound bar speaker (-)
9 - x52 18DB/WT - right sound bar speaker (+)
10 - empty

The second 14 pin connector is set up the same way

1 - f75 16VT - power amp feed
2 - f75 16VT - power amp feed
3 - empty
4 - x87 x87 LG/VT - left door speaker (+)
5 - x94 18TN/RD - right sound bad speaker (+)

7 - z5 16BK/LB - power amp ground
8 - z5 16BK/LB - power amp ground
9 - empty
10 - x80 18LB/BK - right door speaker (-)
11 - x82 18LB/RD - right door speaker (+)
12 - x85 18BR/RD left door speaker (-)
13 - x92 18TN/BK right sound bar speaker (-)
14 - x91 18WT/BK left sound bar speaker (-)
 
If I recall correctly, the factory infinity amp is rated for 2ohm speakers and is only like 80W power... I wouldn't recommend putting 4ohm speakers through it.
