^Maybe it's a new ownership/management thing? The u-pull-n-pay up here on Broadway gives me a print-out telling me where the XJs or whatever are.

They are generally pretty good about knowing where the vehichles are, but they've got a snowballs chance in hell of keeping a parts inventory. Ya just gotta see it.

If anyone is heading down there and has the time to grabb a couple of complete d44 hubs and spindles I'll make it up to ya. Don't matter what they come off of as long as they are complete.

X2, and the online inventory is usually pretty close if not accurate.

We get a Cinco de Mayo celebration, notice the logo: http://denver.upullandpay.com/coupons.aspx

You mean if the parts are still on the rig? Ya I understand that. But the one up here has ton of Explorers no one has touched the rear axles. If they were doing the sale up here they have at least 8 disc brake 8.8s at Aurora yard.

I really wish I weren't getting bent over so bad with school right now. I'd really like to hit this one up, could use a few things and need to visit the Springs again (sister had surgery yesterday). I could use a new tranny line since I cut one of mine on accident, and as well a taurus fan for the Juggy.

Want an 8.25" with 4.56's already installed? The 8.8" you saw in my garage is going to replace it.

I got some cherokee stuff I was looking for while I was there. They reorganized everything and cleaned up the place plus they opened a new building where u check in. But listen to this story..there a was a 97 Cherokee down there. I looked inside and there were 2 front seats in tan that were in perfect shape still there. So I unbolted everything and then I realized I didnt get a wheel barrow to cart my crap to the checkout and I didnt want to leave my Craftsman tools sitting around. While I was unbolting the seats a guy kept watching me and hovering around the Jeep. I asked if if he needed anything from the interior and he said "oh no Im just looking around, I have an older Jeep anyways"...so I placed the seats in the back of the Jeep and grabbed my tools to go get a wheel barrow as Im walking back that guy was walking towards me with the passenger seat that I just took out. I stopped and said "Hey man did you just get that from that Jeep I was working on"..he says yay I though about it more and I need a new passenger seat in my Jeep so I figured you didnt want these....I just turned around and walked out..I guess he thought I did all that work then decided against getting them but damn it that pissed me off:flamemad: Oh well better luck next time I learned my lesson if you guyz go have fun its supposed to be chitty weather this weekend!!!

Had the parts in wheel barrell and I was working on the back brakes. Some guy walks up and sees the parts in the wheel barrell and says I need those. I said I am taking them that is why they are in the wheel barrell with my tools. He just waited near my wheel barrell. So climbed out from under the car a when he saw how big I was he turned a made bee line for the exit. I was pissed like he was expecting me to give him the parts I just pulled.

LOL

I've had a few bad experiences at the self serve yards, and I've been surprised by other people's help and cooperation more often. I would have said something just to see if he had the common decency, there is nothing to lose at that point.

I bet he tries to mount the newer base and returns the seat. :looser:

I used to store it at my dad's furniture store warehouse.... but sadly, that store closed a while back. The Olds is currently at my house believe it or not.....

And the paint is mostly factory original. The rear fenders were repaired and re-painted at some point in it's life, but the rest is all OEM. Trust me, it's a good "20 footer", not that great up close, but for a 63 year old car, she's in awesome shape. The entire car is un-modified except for cut front springs and the 15" "big and littles". I couldn't stand driving on the 16x6.5 bias plies it originally had. Those tires/wheels are serving decoration duty in the basement....... :D

Unfortunately, the radiator is rotten, the knee-action hydraulic shocks are shot, the water pump howls, the gas tank is full of rust and the battery is junk. It's been sitting for 6 years since it last drove to the Dairy Queen with my folks back in the fall of '02.

Pretty fawkin' sad really. Like I said...... I shoulda been done with at least the mechanical/electrical resto-modding by now and be driving it until I could afford the body/paint/interior........ :banghead:

Wow! It's not your father's Oldsmobile, it's his father's Oldsmobile. Since Olds no longer exists, you can put it in the "Orphan Car" show we have every summer.

So Mike and I scored a couple D30s with bigger U joints. There was a 95 there with factory tow hooks if someone needs some. All disc brake 8.8s were gone. I was bummed. Lady said they had two hundred more cars waiting to be brought in after this weekend. And we found a really cool bumper if someone wants a custom one. :D Mike took a pic he is going to post it later. :D I know you guys are waiting with bated breath. :D

Troy you might wanna run down there snag it up. LOL :D

They just set a '98 sploder @ PNS. It used to have some reallllllllllly nice leather seats. :D

Not much in the XJ department, but they are turning cars over pretty fast again.
