Rear leaf hight

I got a set of RE leafs 4.5 inch about a year ago. Stock shackles, its sitting at 6.25 lol and I beat the hell out of them on the trails! There are marks on the jeep where the stock shackle has been hitting in the rear, I want to order up some boomerang shackles to clear (and stock shackles suck) but do not want to add any more height!
If I order the shackles 1" would I be able to remove a spring? Or relocate the shackle mount or will that bring it up more? I searched for an answer but all talking on the relocation mounts to go up higher not lower.
