trying to get ready for socal fest. need tow strap and jack....

So I'm looking around for both items and are wondering where I can find reasonable prices on both items. So far I found this for a tow strap...

As for the hi lift jack, I want to order one and have it shipped to me before the event. That or ill have to run over to harbor freight and buy that nasty orange one that they sell...lol

I don't know if I'd even waste my money on that harbor freight one. I had one a few years back. I think I got about 4 uses out of it before both pins bent. I guess you could try buying the Hi-Lift repair kit which has new springs and pins, but I just figured if it was already breaking I wasn't gonna put any more money into it.

And that strap is fine too. I would imagine you could pick one up from any 4x shop.

there is a 4 wheel parts near me in inglewood. Maybe i should take a peak and see what they have. im afraid they might be overpriced though..

When you factor in the armed security guards you'd have to hire to escort you to the store and back the prices don't seem so great :D

Yeah, your stock bottle jack should be fine.

Also, when you come by to borrow the cb/antenna I got a brand new strap you can borrow (if you need it) as well as my receiver D-ring shackle if you have a receiver hitch.

Actually, the CB is waaaay more important than a jack. Reason being: 90% of the folks out there will have a jack you can borrow if you just can't get one. However, staying in communication with the others on the run is very important. Spend a few dollars on a cheap unit and call it a day. The jacks and straps/winches will be there.

And the runs are awesome - in 2007 I ran my rig on like 4 trails in one day, for a total of over 8 hours wheeling. It's awesome up there.
