I felt it was worth posting.
In my younger years I was always the kinda the knucklehead, hung out with knuckleheads... did dumb stuff... Point being most of my circle of buddies were hooligans.
But, I can say most if not all the friends I met through NAC are some of the best / reliable / dedicated folks I know. Maybe that doesnt mean sh!t to some people. But there is something to be said for that I think.
Theres some good dudes in NAC.
Hell yeah. :us:

Are you sure you have to right group, we're all knuckleheads or maybe just me or maybe just me around Andy"hey Ben lets try this..." ok......
But I must agree with you here, the NAC/NAXJA people are the best, they'll help you with out even knowing you, found that out way back when I was at XJ-Fest@Tellico and was broke when I got down there...long story...

I agree. Everyone I have met through NAC and at the NACFEST events have been great. Everyone is always willing to help out, give tech advice.... And wheeling with a bunch of Jeepheads is the best. Everyone wants everyone to have a good time..Life is tough and a pain in the rear most of the time. Nice to go somewhere where it's all about fun and good spirits..
Ok..must have watched tooo much lifetime tv. Or maybe it's that I'm the only dude in the house and being surrounded by my wife and daughters all the time..>Dam..they made me sensitive..

LOL Joey, just step away from the estrogen, go out to the garage RIGHT NOW!!!:D:D
Yep, there is lots of good folks in this crew.... always willing to lend a hand, help spot, stack a rock, help fix and do whatever is needed for other folks on the trail, whether they are in our group or not. We have had some serious breakages and challenges in some knarly spots, and always manage to get it fixed (or at least "move-able to get it out of the woods) and then laugh about it later around the campfire.

Hmm...lemme list...Goatman, Jump This, Farmer Matt, Jes, Cal, Mattyj, 4xSanta, Dumptruck, Dave Taylor, Paul S, the list goes on...
Oh wait. Wrong chapter. :D
Those guys all showed great hospitality when I was out visiting/wheeling in Johnson Valley. I've found many of the guys from our own chapter - lobsterDMB, Andy, Stroker, John B, Egon, Rob M, Art, Mitch, DITA (:D), and many other guys I met in passing (and hope to meet again at this year's NACfest) - to absolutely have the same attitude towards fellow wheelers.

x2 + more overlandxj, countryxjer, easyxjer, knucklebuster, victor and everyone the heck else.
I much enjoy being a part of the 4wheeling community as opposed to what I was into before, which was more street trucks etc.
I was sort of floored on some of my first 4x4 trips, the commradery between jeepers, I wasnt used to helping out and being just as concerned about your vehicle as they are their own (sort of), at least if you break it you will get home somehow. Its sort of a no man left behind philosophy, if you dont get off the trail, I dont get off.
I went on a wheeling trip two weeks ago with a group of Fj people (see jeep pic showcase) and it was strangely different, maybe it was the newbie factor, but there were some people I didnt know were on the trail ride, until the end of the day, because no one cared to get out of the vehicle. This is what im used to seeing, everyone out, everone involved, everyone having fun.

OMG! You took this one way too far, Ben's head just got really big. LOL! I think we should just stay with knucklehead  love you too, ben. hardy-har-har!
I have to say that it has been a great experience, wheeling with everybody, even made some freinds along the way. It's great to see people jump out and lend a helping hand, or even bust your stones, which is usually common courtesy in our group.

actually my nickname came from tellico-fest back in '01 from Four-wheeler. We were sitting aroung the fire and at the time I was using my name and he suggested STROKER because of my motor. Don't need any rumors flyin'.

Back on topic, I met some members of NAC last summer at NAC Fest. Great bunch o' guys, I had fun, I felt comfortable although it was my first time wheeling with people I didn't know. Being female, alone & so far away from home, it is a good example of the kind of guys you all are since I (almost) fit right in. But I strayed from the foal on Sunday & got stranded in the woods by a different group of strangers. Serves me right, I guess.
Hope to be at NACFest this year too. I'm not hardcore, but seeing all the guys being called by name above, I wonder if anyone remembers my name ... :anon:

On the tip of my tongue but cannot recall it. I want to say Aieshah? sp?
There were a few guys i didnt get the chance to formally meet last year as i was only there for the BBQ and raffle. Didnt get there early enough to run trails saturday. Did get to meet a few who i had been wanting to meet, Vette, Mofo, Lobstah..
I'll be there everyday this year though.

maybe he was implying that we are by-and-large a rude and vulgar group, and someone who is nice and respectful could be a good influence. :eyes:
