Ok, this guy has way too much money! He has at least 1 of every Ford/Mercury woody wagon ever made and then some. Just look at the size of the facility he has just to store them!

yum. I think the 39 Ford is one of the great art-deco car designs, and truly exceptional considering that it was a cheap production car. And there's one of my dream vehicles of all time, a 39 woody, in green yet! Oh well, I have enough stuff to keep track of. Let someone else take responsibility for it. Still.....

After you figure out the leaf springs (and roof, doors, and hatch ;) ) start working on the coils up front!

Splinter (the wooden car) has wooden leaves all around and even wood wheels. IT was his graduate project at NC State. He's already got tons of great job offers

Nice! It was a great way to make use of available resources. I have seen some XJ's that could benefit from even the most rudimentary body corrects... be it even wood.

I've had this twisted idea running around in my head about doing something like that with wood veneer on a more slab sided vehicle like an XJ (maybe a Wagoneer or Briarwood with real wood panels perhapse:idea:)

If I didn't like in an area that salts the earth every winter (we have my sister's Briarwood still in the back yard, but it's motly rust and wood sticker right now:tear:) and spend so much of what little I make on RC stuff:sure: I'd love to.............wonder what it would take to turn my '98 Limited into a Brairwood look alike:laugh3:
I need to get a life or find a better paying job..................
