View Full Version : Dirty/coroded distributor points really fast!

HI my distributor points seem to be "corroding" really quickly. Could it be from bad spark plugs or wires? My jeep would start then stall so i cleand the dirty distributor points and it ran. 2 days later it happened again and the distributor points were just as dirty and corroded as 2 days before???? any ideas? thanks

sounds like u have moisture in the dist cap, or the wrong plug gap, bad wires.

Before I blindly make a diagnosis, could you post some pix of the inside of the distributor, before and after?

umm i wish i could. my camera is currently broken and in the shop.

OK i suspectedthe wires or plugs. thanks how would i get moisture from getting in there....?
