If you could swap ANY motor into your XJ, what would it be and why?

I would put a cummins 4BT with a larger turbo and upgraded injection pump. The torque would be awsome, and you couldnt beat the fuel eco.:yelclap: YOu could idle all day and never see the fuel gauge drop.

I would keep my 2.8 but I would add 2 solid rocket boosters so I can tell Chris I wheeled on the moon... and mean it!

prolly a motor out of an srt-4 neon. plenty of power, turbo =] and good gas mileage, and its lighter wieght

4G63T out of a gen 1 DSM (eclipse) easy to make huge power numbers on and very light weight. And 10000+ RPMS sounds awsome

ya but its not gonna work well revving to 10k on the rocks unless you have a super low crawl ratio or a 10k stall :D

but realisticly
prob just a vortec 5.7 cause you can find parts for them anywhere
