I have this same post in my HP D30 fore sale thread, but I like to brag about my system. So I thought a thread featuring systems would be cool. I've always been a sucker for intensely loud music. One of my high school buddies owns a home theater/car audio shop up here in Flagstaff.(Sound Creations) Up front I have a MA Audio carbon fiber component set with 6" mids and separate tweets with the crossovers mounted under the rear bench seat on the driver side. In the rear stock location, I have a MA Audio 6 1/2" coax carbon fiber set. The sub is a 12" MA Audio dual voice coil Competition series. For amps, I have a Power Acoustic PLasma Sphere 4-channel 960watt running the mids and highs. Then I have a Power Acoustic 1250watt Gothic series amp running the sub. For the head unit, I'm running a Pioneer DEH-P600UB. I have XM radio with the XM tuner mounted to the bottom of the rear bench seat on the passenger side.

Here's a few more pics to wet the whistle...

My cassette player from 1994 just took a crap on me. I finally broke down and got a stereo from Crutchfield. I scored too. MP3/WMA/Thumb drive capability for like $100. But dude, no one is gonna post their stereo stuff on this board and more likely no one has any in their rig for two reasons. First of all most of our XJs are our second rigs. That means they don't get the luxury of the garage. That means they sit in the driveway. And if you have a rig in the driveway in Phoenix then anything in it is fair game. So if you have a nice stereo, then you HAD a nice stereo...ask me how many stereos I've had stolen in my years. It's impossible to keep nice shit in P-town. Impossible.

Don't take it personal that there are no responses. I LOVE loud stereos. I've had some SICK systems in my day. I had a Terminator 15 in one rig. Two Blue Thunder 12s in another and Two Punch 10s and Two Punch 8s in another. I had two Terminator 12s jacked out of my Prelude, I had two MTX 10s jacked out of my Dodge Ram. I've had two Alpines jacked out of two Volkswagens...anyway, you get the point.

An older sony deck, cd,mp3,wma aux input. Factory pioneer premium tweeters, speakers and amp. Good sound and the deck has out lasted 3 trucks.

Pulled the rest of the system out and use it in the garage now.
2 12" power acoustik FUBAR's, 3 farad amp with a kenwood kac-9104D amp powering the system in a custom ported enclosure.

It was stupid loud and heavy. About 175lbs

i WAS running a blapunked (sp?) head unit in my heep before it got broken into. the pos took my cobra nitetracker, radar detector, cell charger, windshield shader thingie, a towel, and busted the fold down face off the radio. it wasnt a detatchable faceplate until they got a hold of it. i think they were pissed that it was such a cheap head unit that they made it inop out of spite. never found the face plate.

replaced the head unit with a sony hd radio compatable, cd r/rw, mp3 head unit and hd reciever. i made sure to make it a total PITA for that radio to come out! everything short of paddle locking it to the dash- that aint a bad idea... oh, and i made sure to get one with a detatchable face plate too. now nothing stays in either my truck or jeep.

an yah, that head unit is powering the awsome 1995 stock blown out, half rotted away speakers. too many other items higher up on the jeep priority list right now

Polk 5.25"s in the front, Pioneer 5.25"s in the rear powered off a Sony head unit. 2 x 10" RF's in an isobaric custom enclosure in the back right powered by an old RF Punch amp.

It sounds okay, not great. One of these days I'll have to replace those 5.25"s with some separates.

HAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Seriously, I run a cheap 75 dolluh unit from checker that plays on CD, USB or SD memory card or cable from ipod. cheap 30 dolluh speakers in hatch since my front doors are off most of the time now.
Radio is not bad to have but not more important than hearing my spotter.

Oh, I'm not taking it personal. Thought it would be a fun thread. I, however, can't have a rig without good tunes. And yes, I turn it down when trying to hear my spotter. In fact, it's not even on when I'm wheelin'.

No bumpy box for me but I love having a movie for long trips or when I am stuck waiting in the car so I put in a JVC 7in touch screen. Complete with a 160 Gb harddrive for all my movies and shows and a 4 gb sd card for the music.

Still need to clean up the install.
