199,000 99 XJ

So I got this 99XJ about a year ago with around 140,000 miles on it and im about ready to watch it go to 200,000 i just crossed 199,000 today.

Since I purchased the car I have had almost no problems at all. Its a 1999 4.0L Sport 4dr with the ax-15 with the NP231. It doesn't drip a drop of any fluid on my driveway. It gets around 26 mpg on the highway, and depending on how i drive in bad traffic I can still average over 18 in the city. Also it cranks over in the morning everyday like a champ.

My favorite thing about it is I only payed 2000 fpr it and have only changed the oil and fixed a few things every here and there, nothing critical has happened to it except me doing dumb things it.. But w.e ROCK ON XJ!

Congrats! I've had several of the older ones make it past the 200k mark, 1 almost made it to 400K (389 to be exact) before getting t-boned. But my 2001 only went to 94,251 before it died..... and thats just sad.

I think the reason I'm impressed is that my old one (95 aw4) leaked a lot burned oil and the whole 9 yards at 115,000 miles. This one doesn't do any of that and i drive maybe 120 miles a day on it 5 days a week in Miami rush hour traffic.
