I've got a plate number, and need to know the owner. The owner has some items that belong to me that I would like returned.

Has anyone used PeopleSearch, or similar websites, to find folks?

Any other helpful information is greatly appreciated.

Just call the local police, tell them your situation, and they will probably tell you the owner and possibly the address. But then once you tell them you deal, they have an obligation to get involved. Some DMV's also will tell you the info you need. I don't think there are any others places to look. Good luck and kick them for me!!

I tried that site, and I can't even find myself? I did find my father, but the address was way out of date, and the package for a background check was like 50 bucks?

Not sure about other states, but in IL it's against policy to give out that information. Unless you know someone on your local police force that may do you the favor, I would try the DMV. Even then I'm not sure what all they can supply you with.

Unless you have a friend in law enforcement, probably not going to be to easy to get. Most PD's won't just give that info out, due to the fact they would be held accountable if you went and murdered that person. Same goes for DMV.

No offense to the LEOs that visit this board, but fluck the police.

I've got it handled.
