Ya know, if there's any place that someone should bust into, cappin' rounds liberally, it's that damned Westborough church. I'd love to see the news reporting that some "crazy" entered the church during a sermon, released all the children, identified the elders and Mr. Phelps...... and didn't quit 'till the barrel was red-hot.

Honestly, I'm a pretty laid-back, non-aggressive type person. HOWEVER, if I saw those clowns demonstrating at soldier's funeral or an AIDS victim's funeral, I'm not sure I could stop myself from driving my Jeep through the whole lot of 'em. And swing around for a few passes, just to make sure none could reproduce.

You know, perhaps if one of them should kick off (and the factoid should become known before the funeral...) it may be amusing to picket their member's funeral with "God Hates You" and "You're Going to HELL" signs...
I'd honestly think that you'd have a hard time getting actually prosecuted for this, given their actions. Should they protest, simply remind them that this is what the people on the other end of their protests feel like.
I'd be ready for assault tho - I don't think they'd have any restraint. Be sure to invite the press, and get pictures of them attacking you to take to court...

They posted a bulletin on their site saying they were going to come to a funeral here in my area. Lucky they didn't, because if they did I prolly would have done something stupid and the Army would have gotten really mad at me. The Patriot Guard came though and we a had people all along the route from the church to the cemetary. It was good to see that people still care.

Wasn't there some guy who several years ago broke into a national guard armory and stole a tank? He drove it down streets, over cars, RVs, etc. and then ended up getting stuck on a freeway before being eternally stopped in his tracks.:D

It has occurred to me to wonder about the rest of the "Baptist" community - do they agree with this moron and his little troupe?
If not, why don't they do something? He's not exactly giving the Baptists good PR. A guy like this has no business preaching to ANYBODY.
A Man of God, he most definitely is not. Iwonder what he gets when he shuffles off this mortal coil... You know what they say, "what goes around, comes around".

honestly, i think on the inside there are many who may feel it, not the stupid protesting part but i think they are some who are racist and bigots to a degree that is uncomfortable so they keep it inside and just move on. being nonreligious and outside the whole deal i have been to some church services with friends and been truly afraid, saying that you can make exceptions to the ten commandments (specifically thou shalt not kill) because someone isn't christian was a practice that was condoned and preached by the minister! and it scared the shit out of mei i don't go to church anymore with friends who invite me, even though it angers my girlfriend and her parents i will not go anyomore, before i did it out of respect to them but its a scary experience

In San Diego. After he hhigh centered on the median, a Sand Diego county deputy opend the hatch and shot him in the head. The video is amazing of what he did.

Nice, but for two small things...
1) I'm left-handed. The M82 is the only one I can really shoot effectively - otherwise, I catch either a bolt handle or hot brass in the face.
2) It's just too good for them. Good .50BMG ammo costs, what, about $3 a shot? I'd sooner use a .22 - make them suffer a little, just like what they do to other people.
I find the point about "what do other Baptists think" interesting - this should end up with a little "community self-policing" like we should be seeing with Islam. Don't like what we're doing to terrorists? Don't let them terrorise!
Don't like the bad PR that the Baptist community is getting from all of this? Then stop Phelps and his ilk!

Yeah, but IIRC, that guy had screws loose and..... no fab skills! Marvin Heemeyer had some serious fab skills - that bulldozer was put together very well. One of the local news stations did a story about the dismantling of that thing. Incredible thought went into it. I was actually surprised that the State or Feds didn't seize it and put it to use.

My choice of the M-95 was based on my desire to "live to fight another day" The .22 variety doesn't have enough reach to give me a comfortable window to evacuate. Sure one could easily get within range of a subsonic round without notice, but being in the den isn't my preferred lion hunting method. Small holes aren't as much of a political statement as someone becoming ground meat either.

Yeah. I've seen what it looks like when someone gets shot in the head with a .50BMG - I'd also like to leave something to identify. Maybe also leave a note...
Infil is relatively easy, exfil is less easy, but can be done. Suppressors are wonderful things, and it's like any other hunting - spend some time getting to know your prey's patterns, and you start seeing opportunities.
Just a couple thoughts. Frankly, I'm torn between "up close and personal" and "reach out and touch someone" - they could either be dealt with at something under fifty yards, or at over a mile, depending upon skill, equipment, and environment...

I kind of like the reach out and touch someone approach, theres just something about the sight of a down vest at just under 1,000 yards being hit by a round from an '03 Springfield....poof...feathers.
