Found a 9" rear, need help

Found a 9" rear end for $200 that I'm going to look at tomorrow. I called the guy up, said it was out of a 79 or 80 model truck. I asked what gears it had, he didnt know, he looked for identificuation and could only tell me the number 7400. Measure length was 60". I have searched this site as well as pirate to find any info familiar to that. Anyone have any ideas as to what I'm going to look at tomorrow exactly?

most likely that 9 will work for what you are wanting it for. like i said if you are doing a trail only rig and planning on running 36" tires or bigger. go wit 5.13 gears. therefore it shouldnt matter what is in the 9 to start with.
