I need a pair for extended front brake lines good for at least 4.5" of lift. I don't care if they are s/s or not.

go to napa and get a pair of YJ brake lines. 40 bucks for the pair and they'll work great.

Did you stretch out & relocate your front hard lines ?
Its an easy way to get some extra length.

yeah, I already straightened out the Z bend. I need more length though for full flex.

Will the YJ ones be good enough for 4.5" lift?
Also, if they cost $40, I might as well get the s/s ones for $50.

If you already straightened out the Z bend the YJ lines should have you covered for well over 4.5" of lift.
I prefer the YJ lines, I don't ike stainless flex brake lines, they do not seem as solid to me, But thats just my opinion.

I think the full size chevy lines work better. They do not have the long hard line off the end. Alot of pople have had problems with that piece of hard line getting into the coils or shocks. I have them on my rig with almost 6" and still have some slack at full droop.

Where can you get a set of stainless extended lines for an XJ for $50?

Stainless steel brake lines

I've got them on mine and they work great. I have the RC 4.5" kit. Call Jason @ Rough Country for the best deal.

$55.95 list on the site. I also said call Jason for the best deal. IIRC, I paid $45+tax for the front lines, which iare the ones he was inquiring about.

I just pointed out a possible source for the s/s brakelines. Maybe he can chime in and let us know who has them for $50 tax, title and license, out the door.

Thanks for all the input guys!

To answer a couple questions, the $50 s/s brake lines I was talking about were the ones from RC that someone else pointed out, which with the discount you can get for basically $50 out the door. I did notice there were a couple other websites that had them for around the same price, can't remember who though.

Also, I just bought the Raybestos YJ brake lines from RockAuto, cost $13 each (not including the 5% discount); shipping was another $7, but I was ordering other stuff too, so it all panned out. I looked and they are about the same length as the chevy 1500 lines, both being around 20-21."

RockAuto is great for getting the best prices on parts like that!
