is my exhaust crushed?

i was changing my brake pads when i noticed my exhaust. right above the o2 sensor and right at the downpipe it looks like my pipe is crushed or bent. is this normal?? its a 99 xj 4.0. thanks guys

Normal. Made like that for clearance when the vehicle is flexed.

The down pipe (manifold to catalytic converter) on my 4.0L '89 looks "crushed" right by the flange to the converter, but that is how it comes to clear a cross member. Just like joe_peters said.
