Aftermarket Tj axles for xj d44

Hello all. I would like some clarification on the purchase of aftermarket axles for my xj d44.I found some TJ axles on ebay but when I asked the guy if they will fit my xj d44 he said they will not and they cant get any for my xj d44. From my searches I found that they are in fact the same axles.Just wondering why the TJ axles dont cross referance to the xj d44. If they are the same would I be safe buying axles specifically for a TJ or should I look for another vendor.Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated as I am now confused.Thanks in advance.

I might be wrong but dont tj's have a coil sprung rear. or do you plan on putting perches on it? or maybe you are referring to front axels?

The rear dana 44 shafts are the same for XJ/TJ.

The retainer plate you need at the axle flange is not. re-use your old ones.

to me it sounds like hes talking about axle shafts. :dunno:
