I doubt its a joke. Someone needs to sue the FS for putting rainbow trout into the tellico water system because it is endangering the natural fish in the stream. Or better yet sue to ban fishing all together.

I know...wishful thinking...:bawl:

Yeah, I'm sure we can come up with some fabricated false evidence to support any BS basis for a lawsuit just like they did!

Kind of related but these are some quotes from a TU spokesman about the passing of the Omnibus Bill...

“It has been a long and difficult road, but today, Congress acted on behalf of hunters and anglers who understand the need for intact habitat if we are to continue enjoying our pastimes."

Yup, screw ours so you can enjoy yours.

"Thanks to this bill, our children and grandchildren will be able to enjoy public lands and all they offer."

Only those who like fishing and hunting and dislike off-roading...

"...the passage of the omnibus legislation is not the conclusion of efforts to protect public land, but just a start."

That's scary...

“I don’t think you can understate the importance of this bill to all Americans who value public lands and the resources they protect,” Wood said. “Thanks to the actions of Congress today, we’ll be able to enjoy our public lands for generations to come.”

Except for us...thanks butt-munches!!!

Go to the enemy camp! Read....

Responsible Off-Road Vehicle Use
Read it all here:

A little bit of what it says:
Trout Unlimited is not opposed to motorized access in the national forest. We do however, believe that reckless and destructive riding must be stopped in order to protect healthy forests, clean water, and the hunting and fishing heritage on public lands. TU also believes there’s a very real need for a significant new commitment on the part of land management agencies, backed by proper funding, to properly police OHV use and enforce laws to prohibit cross-country, off-trail travel.

I got this email from the forrest service. This was attached. SCREW them! So they can fish but we cant wheel, they can do what they enjoy, but we cant do what we enjoy? They say, we can fish if you guys wheel, well I say I cant wheel if you guys fish. So what makes them better than us? This is such a load of BS. Maybe if we had somebody that knew how to spend entrance fee money more wisely, maybe trail maintenence would be better. We didn't need a $2.5 million dollar bridge across the creek on trail 5, a smaller $100,000 bridge would have suited fine. Yet they spent all that money on the bridge, only to close the place a year later. What a bnunch of idiots!
