About 2 years ago I built a rear bumper with a swing out gate and for some reason it is cracking the bearings. I am not sure if this is happening because of vibration or if I mounted the spindel to high on the bumper. There is about a 1/4 gap between the bottom of the spindle and the top of the bumper. Do you all think I should fill in the gap to so the spindle side of the swing out gate is resting on something? Any input would be great.
