Guages stop working?

All at once while driving through Lexington, KY last Friday my guagees (speedometer, tach, etc) stopped working AND the airbag and engine light came on. The motor and everything else worked fine. As quickly as they stopped the bgan working again. This happened twice on my trip to WV for apprimately 1min. and returned to normal.
Never happened today on my return trip.
Thoughts???

my extra sensory perception tells me you have a 99XJ with a bad cluster connection.

You got to pull the instrument cluster, clean the wiring connection behind and reinsert. (If it's like my 2000)
