Information on the Sunday M&G For October 15th

Where:Cleghorn trail/Silverwood We will meet at the cleghorn offramp on the 15 (dirt area just off the pavemnt)
Who:This trail has a bypass for all obsticals so everyone is welcome, Invite your friends.
Why: because we can :wow:


Suggested Items/Equipment:
Chair for each person
Water
Other Drinks as you see fit
Snacks/food

We will do another BBQ somewhere near the lake (Ill try and scout out a good spot this weekend)so lets make it a pot luck!!! If your coming please post up how many in your party and what your bringing (please remember to bring enough for everyone)

You should be able to do a lot of this in 2wd if you want but everything is optional so you can always make a few attempts and then hit the next obsticle

i wouldnt say everything has a bipass, i wouldnt go without 4wd Brice it could get frustrating.

and theres a mc donalds one exit up off 138 and the15 good place to get breakfast and use the restroom before the day begins. and gas station right next to that. thats where we usually meet.

Well i was reading the press enterprise news paper and read an artical that said they would be closing the 15 fwy for 5 weekends in both direction at kenwood exit the offramps will be closed as well so i guesss we will have to start wheeling befor cleghorn.

Well i had said in a earlier post that it will be closed in both directions i work for the paving company doing the work. We should be able to take devor rd. to cleghorn rd. :flamemad:

ok guys they are not closing the interchange in both directions it apears they will only have the 15n to 215s connector closed or the right 3 lanes of the 15s I drive this mess every day in both directions I do believe I should know, and even if by the odd chance that the local news paper and the cal trans web site and the chp office are all wrong there is a more senic rout that can be taken and bypass all of the 15 after siera ave. devore road is closed at kenwood considering there is a big crane under the freeway at the underpass and the on and offramps for the north bound side are closed as well (as of last nights treck from fontucky to my home).

no the 15 north is not closed!!!!!! its the 15 south that is closed. for anyone goin down that way after the run I will show a fire road to bypass the 15 till sierra ave.

Well a special thanks goes out to Ken and Andy for pullin my heep out after the severe carnage which cost me a rear driveshaft!!! I have video and pics that I will try and get posted tonight or tomorrow. Also, thanks to my jeep for pullin me home with 4Hi and only the front drive shaft. Time to install the SYE and new yoke so that I can reconnect the severed rear driveshaft. It was great fun and look forward to some more carnage I have to go back and beat that hill!!!!

Yes, I have quite a few scratches in my jeep. I don't think black is the best color for off-roading (of course, I didnt have a choice for $1200 ). Cool part is the wife doesn't care about the scratches down the side, on the door from the rock or the dents in the rocker.
