Hey guys,
thought i would let you know that i am back with cherokees again (never really left but had a wrangler so ...) lol anyway i just purchased a 99 sport police intercepter model. it runs great has all the skids front and rear hooks, all sorts of fun things. got a hell of a deal on it as it was hit in the left rear and crumpled so picked it up for $1100. just need a rear 1/4 from a donor car and it will look alot better hehe. anyway also have a question for you. what years does this fit into for parts. is it 97 and up or is there another break in there that the 99 fits in. i just need a few parts. then as soon as my back can handle it i am getting a lift and other parts.
thanks

thanks Krazors001. I thought that but wasnt sure.
Mr.Simon... I have pics but honestly it is just a bone stock looking white XJ with black interior. who really wants to see that. hehe. OH one cool thing though is that the floor doesnt have carpet it is like a rubber lining throughout the whole jeep. pretty neat in my opinion. anyway Maybe i can paint it along side with your MJ and we can be the killer bees! JD Color wise hehe. How is the MJ coming? did you sell all your stuff yet?

Glad to hear that you got an XJ again. Can't wait to see it. Did it come with a siren, and flashing lights too? LOL! How is you back feeling these days?

no siren or flashing lights but it does have all the mounts etc for the. its pretty neat setup. It rides pretty great which was something i curently need with my back. My back is healed but i have prolonged pain which may be due to nerve damage. I was told it may be a month or longer or i might never lose the pain. so I am not too happy with that but at the same time i was told if i didnt get the surgery it would be a year or 2 before i was in a wheel chair. so weighing the results i would rather have pain and walk.
everyday seems a little better though so that is good.

What are yer plans with it? Gonna be a DD or a Thrasher?
Maybe time to get some ZJ springs and Chevy shackles perhaps, for now...:star:

well for the time being a dd. until i find out what is going on with my back. If it is permanant nerve damge then i figure i cant hurt anything by going all out. hehe as for springs it already has heavy duty springs front and rear due to the police package. I will probably go with another rough country lift. Probably keep it practical though maybe 3.5-4.5 I like the one i had on my last which was 6.5 and it road great but being stick shift i couldnt do much with it as every time i hit the clutch i got a shock down my leg. so now i finally got an auto and i have to say this freekin things screams. is there any way to find out what all came on the police interceptor package? myabe it is just gearing but it is much much faster then my fathers 99. and it has tourque all the way up. you can feel it put you in the seat.

Bugboy,
I know exactly which jeep your purchased. It was on Craigslist. I saw it when i was shoppin for the one i purchased. I'm only about 45 minutes from your local as i live right outside of york. Good buy if I woulda had the time or money to fix it i would have bought that instead of my 93
