Thinking about running a detroit up front. How do you like yours?

To those who currently have or have used in the past a detroit in their turdy thirdy, how do you like it? Would you reccomend it, or something else?

I was planning on running an aussie, but figure a full carrier locker will help limit R/P deflection. I just want something that will be quiet, reliable, and doesn't require a cable or air input to function.

I've not been running mine long, but so far it's been good. It's quiet, which I can't say about the aussie I have in the rear.

I have a non-disco turdy, so I installed an ARB cause I was afraid of road manners.

I have a non disco 30 and can say it is completely 100% invisible in 2wd. 4wd is another story. Don't ever use 4wd on the street if you put a locker in the front. I'd do it again in a heart beat. I have never ever noticed it in the front on the street.

It sounds like most people love it. I'll add it to my list.

not saying its a bad unit, buttery smooth offroad. you shouldn't have to use 4wd on the street anyway. invisible with or without my hubs locked in 2wd

but there is the issue of broken shafts taking the locker out with it.

took me something like 8 broken shafts til it took the locker with it though.
got a lock-right for cheap, gonna try my luck with that.
