i had em on m XJ for about 6 months, but above your avg redneck, the ones i had were a translucent white plastic, and i drilled out each nut and put an amber LED in each one, then hooked em up to my turn signals. got alot of laughs, each nut would blink independantly in sync with the turn sig... but i eventually ended up breeaking them off climbing a really steep hill coming out of a water pit.

Running amperage through your nuts will not make them glow, they will hurt like hell. We were doing some welding on a welding table, and the ground was attached to the 1" thick metal plate on top. My friend was holding part of the chassis we were welding, and he was leaning over the table. Somehow his balls grounded out to the table through his pants, and he went down for the count. It was quite possibly the funniest thing I've seen happen while welding.
