radiator fan turns on and off constantly

hello, my 1999 jeep cherokee 4.0L's electric radiator fan turns on and off every 30 seconds, its not only annoying but im concerned its going to burn out the relay aswell. The engine temperature is at a steady 210 degrees so its not running hot. Any advice?

Try disconnecting the coolant sensor on the thermostat housing while the fan is running. Be careful!! If the fan stops then it may be the sensor itself.

if it was it would constantly be running.
not sure on yours but on mine it cycles on and off depending on the weather. and no it doesnt need a recharge but this is a 1994 not a 1999

My fan constantly cycles on & off when the AC is on as well. Doesn't do it other times though.
