Is it possible to use a detroit ez-locker from a 35 c-clip axle in a newer non c-clip axle? The reason I ask is a friend of mine has one out of 91 xj and I have a 86 xj and I might be buying it from him and I just want to make sure it's gonna work. Thanks in advance!!
 
What you can do is - look up the ez locker part number for the 91 XJ and compare it to the part number for the 89 XJ. Simple. :read:

since when is a 86 newer than a 91?
 
ive heard ez's are junk but i dont know. i can probably confirm nobody has tried this before.
