Hey bought and installed my Rubicon rims on my free Cooper STT tires today.

It's looking pretty good but the clear coat has bad spots on all rims.

Anyone strip off the clear coat before.

I want to clean 'em up any way to do this without much expense???

Thanks,

Matt

Aircraft stripper you can get it at any autoparts store in the spray paint section or a hardware store. Spray it on, wait a little and just wipe the clear coat off after that, done it many times. You'll need to take care of the rims after that or re-clear them. Ive ever only done it to polish the aluminum wheel & that requires the most attention but looks awsome.
